Discover the flavours of the wild. Join us for a unique foraging experience in the forests of Trysil, where nature becomes your kitchen and every step reveals something new to taste, smell and explore. This is more than a walk in the woods – it’s a hands-on adventure into the Nordic way of life.

Gathering Experiences – Taste the Wild Nordic Nature

Together with an experienced guide, you will learn how to find and identify edible plants, berries and natural ingredients. Along the way, you’ll taste fresh flavours straight from nature and discover how these have been used for generations in Norway.

This experience is designed for families and curious explorers who want something authentic, engaging and different. It’s relaxed, educational and full of small “wow-moments” – perfect for creating memories together.

We harvest with care and respect, following the principles of sustainability and the Norwegian right to roam, ensuring that nature remains just as rich for those who come after us.

– Duration: approx. 4 hours
– Price: 600 NOK (adults) / 400 NOK (children under 12 years)
– Pay by card or cash at the meeting point
Transportation is not included, but we can help with reservations at Trysil Taxi if desired.

The tour includes:
– Local guide
– Serving hot drinks and snacks
– Collecting equipment, mosquito nets, mosquito spray and seating mats are included in this adventure tour.

We arrange the time for this special tour by appointment, and this tour will only be carried out during the day. Normally we start around 10:00 – and you will be mailed a map with map references (GPS) where we will meet – the meeting point will vary depending on the season and other factors. Starts from approx. May 15th and until October 30th.

Recommended clothing: casual clothes and shoes that can withstand bogs and water.

Nature experiences are never guaranteed.

Although we try to recommend some periods we cannot guarantee that you will experience what you have come for, for example northern lights, animals since our success rate depends on Nature.

We therefore ask you to make allowances for any changes from the tour itinerary. If we are unable to offer a certain service due to an unforeseen situation, you will be offered a similar service.

Outdoor activities are also weather dependent. If we are forced to cancel an activity due to extreme weather conditions, an alternative activity suitable for the current conditions will be provided. Please note that changes may occur at a short notice.
